The UV ray sterilizer for drinking water is used as a protection against back contamination, that is, as a barrier against the rise of bacterial load from the delivery points. It makes sense to use a 4 Watt UV sterilizer in the water houses upstream of the dispenser, or in domestic reverse osmosis systems with storage.
